About us

Kids OT Works is an East Midlands based independent Occupational Therapy service for children and young people. We have extensive experience, providing a wide range of services to children and young people, presenting with diverse and different needs.

Our core values are to ensure a client centred, effective and reliable service to help your child reach their full potential. We aim to be occupation focused, setting achievable goals to help children manage everyday tasks and do the things they need and like to do.

We strive to work with the whole team around the child, both within the independent sector and NHS, including teachers and educationalists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists and case managers.

Amanda is the Director of Kids OT Works Ltd and a Specialist Children’s Occupational Therapist and Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration Therapy.

Amanda has worked independently since 2010 following 23 years within the NHS working within children’s therapy services. In 2013 she founded Kids OT Works Ltd. She has developed a wide based practice for children presenting with a range of difficulties and works with different service commissioners, including parents, case managers and statutory services.

Amanda has developed highly specialised knowledge and skills with children and young people, which includes neurodevelopmental therapy and sensory integration training, specialising in the treatment of Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sensory processing difficulties and Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD).
